This is a great little article from Forbes magazine on Evangelicals and Art. They 
highlight Makoto Fujimura’s paintings, which are abstract and quite beautiful. I bought my father who happens to be a watercolor artist (visit jimgensheer.com to see his work) a book just because I was drawn to the cover – which happened to be Fujimura’s work. The book was Art for God’s Sake by Philip Ryken. If you want to check out more of Fujimura’s work (besides the nice pic below), I found this site to be a nice entry point for more exposure.
